In 2005 The Chris Ruth Centre relocated to the old Hoon Hay Working Mens Club with only twenty-two people. At the beginning of 2016 we purchased this property with the support of the Lamar Trust and the Rātā Foundation. We now have three centres establish on this site and cater for over sixty people.

As part of Caites goals she wanted to organise a fundraiser in support of the Chris Ruth Centre. Caite fundraised by bagging and selling lollies. She successfully raised $200 over the year, which Caite was happy to donate for a multi box for the virtual reality system that the Trust received at the start of the year. Rick has been enjoying the Rendever Virtual Reality headsets. Rick has never been keen to have anything on his head (he won’t wear a hat!) so for him to be engaged using the headset – even though it was for a short time, is awesome! - Logan’s Adventures
Logan has been making kowhaiwhai for his friends (and to sell). He recently made one for Kristian’s mum Sonya. As you can see, it was very appreciated. Logan is looking forward to going to the Whakaraupò Carving Trust art exhibition in Lyttelton soon. Logan and others from HH1 enjoyed the Hohepa Inclusive games recently.
