On Thursday 26th February we held the unveiling of the Mural project at the Chris Ruth Centre in Kaiapoi.

The weather held out while we celebrated this wonderful project funded by Creative New Zealand through the Waimakariri District Council. We are grateful for their support and thank you to Jackie Watson- Creative Communities representative, Martin Pugh and Shona Powell from Waimakariri District Council for coming along to celebrate with us.

We are truly grateful to Mel Eaton Off The Wall – Murals NZ for the amazing work she has done to transform these spaces. We also want to thank her for mentoring four youth through this mural project, they have been incredible!

A big thank you to Caroline, the staff and the people we support for their contribution and help with the project, including Colin for prepping the container. Thank you John Cosgrove from North Canterbury News for coming along and we look forward to seeing the story in the local paper!

Lastly thank everyone who came along and celebrated the afternoon with us, we appreciate your support. We hope everyone can enjoy the murals for many years to come!
