The Ashburton Centre were grateful recipients of funding from Advanced Ashburton Community Foundation- Neil & Janette Sinclair Fund to purchase two Yoto players and cards for the Centre, and two tablets with cases.

They have provided great opportunities for learning, independent work, entertainment and taking photos. The Yoto players have been extremely popular for listening to audiobooks, and are easy to use. The ‘create your own’ cards have been a fantastic edition, with the ability to record your own stories and songs for the people we support to listen to.

The tablets have been great for games, listening to music and watching videos. The people we support have also used them for researching and gathering information on topics of interest and for taking photos.
